The intended message of this piece is to show that at the end of the day, our government is made by American citizens and not corporations and companies that want to make a profit. I used this piece because I never used these skills before and I really liked the result of the piece. I used Adobe Photoshop and learned how to make a text portrait and new ways to use the overlay feature. I would add a silhouette of people saluting the flag if I had more time to modify this piece. I liked the freedom I had for choosing what I could do for this project. I found doing the overlay and transparency to be the hardest part of this project. I wouldn't choose something different because this was exactly what I wanted for my piece.
Wow, your idea was great! What shows that our government is made of american citizens in this image? Getting a sunset that is a little less colored (more blue) would have set the graphic off more, it would have made the flag the main point of the graphic.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of putting words on the flag. I suggest that you make the text a little bigger so people can read it. Is the text on the flag the Preamble of the Constitution?

ReplyDeleteI love the text and how it resembles the constitution. Why did you choose to do a sunset? I would suggest making the text legible if your close to it. (Whatever it is, I would suggest making it the preamble over and over, "We the people of the united stats in order to form a more perfect nation..."

ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic and definately catches your attention! Why did you choose the background that you chose? If either changed the backgrounds color or you change the flag up somehow, you will be able to see the flag better.
